Goddess Saraswati, seeking to disrupt the sacrifice, sent an army of demons. However, Lord Vishnu intervened and vanquished the demonic forces, thereby safeguarding the sacred ritual. As a result, Lord Vishnu acquired a radiant red complexion, earning the name Pavalannar, meaning ‘the Lord as red as the coral reef.’
